So as to fulfill the studies on theoretical& practical issues of party building, give play to the exemplary& vanguard role, feasibly take practical actions, Anqing Foreign Language School’s General Party Branch innovated the train of thought on party construction and brought the party members’ democratic life meeting out of the conference room by visiting the Anqing No.2 Cadre’s Sanitarium& Gerocomium to implement the ‘Respecting the Elderly& Delivering Warmth’ Project.
To start with, on 12th January, 2017, an ordinary day in severe winter, Secretary Sun Yijun with Anqing Foreign Language School’s General Party Branch recommended that party members should pay an official visit to the gerocomium to vigorously carry forward the traditional Chinese virtue of respecting the old& caring for the young, further construct a favorable atmosphere of respecting, honoring, loving& helping the aged as well as make the democratic life meeting system more significant.
Therefore, before the annual Spring Festival, the ‘Respecting the Elderly& Delivering Warmth’ Project added a warm and sweet atmosphere to the gerocomium in the winter season.
In summary, there were more than 180 senior citizens in the Anqing No.2 Cadre’s Sanitarium& Gerocomium. During the campaign, Secretary Sun Yijun from Anqing Foreign Language School’s General Party Branch led all party members to send the aged pastry, fruits, milk and other presents. What’s more, Secretary Sun intimately started casual chatting with the elderly, made a ceremonial call on New Year, wished them good health and hoped everything went their way. Seeing the simple, unadorned and gentle smiles on the old’s faces, all party members on the scene felt gratitude and further strengthened their awareness in caring and assisting the elderly.
